New Recombinant Human TSH (Cat. # 8HTS7)

11.06.2025

Hytest is proud to announce the global launch of its latest innovation: recombinant human Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), available under Cat. # 8HTS7.

TSH is a key glycoprotein hormone that regulates thyroid activity and is a critical biomarker in diagnostic testing. Our recombinant TSH is co-expressed in mammalian cells using synthetic DNA for both the alpha and beta subunits (UniProtKB: P01215 and P01222), resulting in a biologically active, tag-free protein that closely mimics the native form.

The product contains both the 112 and 118 amino acid forms of the beta subunit, closely resembling native and full-length recombinant variants. Its identity has been confirmed by Western blot using beta- and alpha-specific monoclonal antibodies (Cat. # 2TS11 MAb 11E4cc and Cat. # 2H8 MAb 77F12).

Our recombinant TSH maintains full activity after ten freeze-thaw cycles and remains stable for at least two weeks at temperatures up to +45ºC. Thanks to recombinant expression, the antigen offers high purity (≥95%), excellent lot-to-lot consistency and is produced under scalable conditions, supporting reliable supply for assay development and commercial use. These attributes make it an ideal reagent for the development and production of TSH immunoassay, particularly for the diagnosis and monitoring of thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
